Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
